Molten Official Game Ball of CYC Sports

The CYC has named Molten the Official Ball for CYC Soccer, Volleyball and Basketball.  Molten balls will be used in all CYC Playoff games in each of those sports.  The CYC recommends that parishes use Molten balls for league play and practice too.  Information on where to order Molten balls is here.

                                                                                

Kids in Jerseys are FREE to CYC Nights at SLU!

SLU Sports: St Louis University is offering a great deal to all CYC Players. On CYC Nights all CYC players can get into the game FREE if they wear their jerseys.  CYC nights are: SLU volleyball (August 29th), men's soccer (October 3rd) and women's soccer (October 16th) and women's basketball game (TBD). Plus anyone that comes with you on CYC Nights can get into the games for only $3. You must call at least a day before the game to reserve the $3 tickets.

PLUS Big Discounts to ALL SLU volleyball, soccer and women's basketball games.  For non-CYC nights kids, friends and family (jerseys optional) only $3 but you must call to reserve your seats at least 1 day before the game.

CYC Night at SLU Billiken Volleyball: See the top-20 SLU Billiken Volleyball team (which includes two former CYC athletes, #4 Bridget Fonke and #5 Whitney Behrens) take on the two-time National Champion Penn State Nittany Lions, Saturday August 29 at 7pm in the Chaifetz Arena. CYC players in Jerseys get in FREE. Anyone that comes with a player can get in for $3 if they call 314-977-4SLU and reserve their tickets at least a day before the game. A perfect, fun family outing! Come see great volleyball at a ridiculously low price!

2009 Baseball and Softball Playoffs

Through out the city and county CYC baseball and softball teams have been competing in their leagues.  The teams that finish at the top of their leagues advance to district playoffs.  Then the teams that finish at the top of their districts will compete in the Archdiocesan Playoffs.  The Archdiocesan Playoffs bring together the top teams in their divisions (from 5th grade through seniors in high school) from all six districts to compete for the championship. 

This year the playoffs for both baseball and softball were held July 25th through August 2nd.  To view the baseball results and playoff brackets go Baseball under Sports on the menu bar, or click here.  Softball results can be viewed by going to Softball under Sports on the menu bar, or click here. 

The baseball playoffs were hosted by the St. Charles District and the softball playoffs by the St Louis City District.  We thank both those districts and all their volunteers that made the playoffs an enjoyable and memorable experience for the players, coaches and their fans.

2009 Baseball and Softball Spirit Games

The 2009 Baseball and Softball Spirit Games were held Saturday July 11th, and hosted by the West County District.   Each district forms a Spirit team comprised of players from different parishes playing that sport at their parish.  Each Spirit team played two games on Saturday.  Baseball games were played at St Monica starting at 8:30am with the final game scheduled for 8:15pm.  The softball games were played at St Richard from the first game at 8:45am to the last scheduled for 6:15pm.  These games offer players from all parts of the city and county a chance to compete against each other in a non-playoff setting.
