The Meyer Youth Center had twelve hard working teenagers drop by the week of July 27th. They were members of the Catholic Heart Workcamp. These teens came from various towns in Kansas, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. They came specifically to do service projects. At the MYC they trimmed trees, chopped down monster weeds, moved rocks and debris, but mostly they painted. They painted two service buildings and the foundation of the entire gym building. As you can tell from the 'before' picture above, the buildings certainly needed painting. They did a great job in their 4 days at the center. On their last day, the MYC staff provided lunch, and the kids also got to meet and talk with Monsignor Meyer. He dropped by to personally thank them for their help.
