STL Baseball/Softball Camps and Clinics
STL Baseball/Softball Camps & Clinics is the Official Baseball/Softball Camps and Clinics of the CYC.
This program is for boys and girls in grades PreK through 8th grade. Camps are designed to mee the needs of the busy family. The camps will run each Monday for 4 weeks, for 1 1/2 hours per week from 5:15-6:45pm. The dates were chosen to provide the boys and girls a warm up for the CYC baseball and softball season and help build their confidence before they get on the field with their team.
Camps are balanced with individual skill development, emphasis on technique and are a lot of FUN. The camp will be run by well-screened, highly qualified staff of instructors selected from high school and college personnel who have one common goal: to provide each child with the tools needed to take their game to the next level.
Camp owners are: Ethan Silverman who is part owner of Gameday Academy and brings a weath of knowledge in the art of catching. Ethan was a member of the 1999 and 2001 University of Miami NCAA national Championship teams. Ethan will be passing on the proper techniques of catching and hitting to young players to enhance them both physically and mentally. Todd Stein, part owner and head instructor of Gameday Academy has perfected his pitching skills at Ladue high school, Illinois State University and the Class A South Bend Silverhawks. Todd has been a baseball instructor for 8 years and is known for his personal attention and great enthusiasm. Chad Corsi is the third camp owner, and he brings his vision of helping kids within the CYC system to learn more about the game of baseball. Chad is involved in CYC at the parish level and wanted to put his ideas to help CYC players into action, by starting these camps.
