CYC Night at the Cardinals game on Thursday, June 14th was a success all the way around.  Starting with the on field batting practice visits by Colin and Jordan Beveridge from St. Joseph-Manchester and Henry and Jack Boland from St. Monica.  Followed by the Parade around the field by all parishes in attendance.  Then the 2 CYC First Pitchers, Nathan Duchinsky from St. Paul and Megan Gilmore from Sts. Joachim and Ann.  Finally the Cardinals beat the White Sox 5-3 in the main event.  Home town hero David Freeze had a good night with a double and home run for 3 RBIs.

Megan had her sign carrying teammates cheering her on as she hummed a strike to Joe Kelly, the Cardinals new starting pitcher just called last Sunday.  Then Nathan made a splash with his high hard one that had photographers and spectators scattering.  That is one 1st pitch to be remembered!

A good night for all involved.  To view a photo gallery of pictures from the night, click here.
