The
Catholic Committee on Scouting, BSA was formed in the
1950's to oversee the development of a spiritual presence
in the activities of the Boy Scout programs.
The
St. Louis Archdiocese, through its parishes and schools,
is the largest single sponsor of Scouts in the St. Louis
area. Currently in 2006 we sponsor: 105
Catholic Cub Packs, with 5032 registered scouts and
2561 registered adults, 93 Catholic Troops, with 2384
registered scouts and 1814 registered adults, 32 Catholic
Venture Crews, with 625 registered scouts and 324 registered
